At the outset a family business in the Staffordshire Potteries is rescued from bankruptcy and the brutal murder of a Somalian merchant seaman in Amsterdam is spectacularly avenged.

As the drama unfolds family disruption and mayhem ensue. A publicity promotion bombards the European media, causing governments to fidget, perplexed by the strength of the campaign's arguments.
