Z bewies, dass die Kinematographie eine ebenso populäre wie subversive Kunst sein kann, indem er zur Befreiung des in einem Umerziehungslager festgehaltenen Komponisten Mikis Theodorakis und zum Sturz der Obristen beitrug, die sich in Griechenland an die Macht geputscht hatten.
